About Visiting the Bronx Zoo:
Love animals? Then Visiting the Bronx Zoo is an Activity that you won’t want to miss during your stay at our NYC Hotel. The Zoo sits on 265 acres, and it is home to 6,000 animals.
The Bronx Zoo opened in 1899. For the time, the Zoo was impressive. It featured 21 exhibits that housed 843 animals. Today, there are so many animals – 650 species are represented – that it takes more than a day to see everything the Zoo has to offer. If you can’t spend two days enjoying this New York City Activity then spend some time browsing their website before you visit. This will allow you to make a list of the exhibits in the zoo that interest you most.
In addition to the general exhibits, the Bronx Zoo also features a number of premiums exhibits. These exhibits charge a fee separate from the Zoo’s general admission fee, but can really add to the experience of a visit. Premium exhibits include the Bug Carousel, Butterfly Garden, Congo Gorilla Forest, 4-D Theatre, and Wild Asia Monorail.
This New York City Activity is fun for visitors of all ages. Both locals and guests at our NYC Hotel love seeing animals such as giraffes, African wild dogs, Asian elephant, grizzly bears, Komodo dragon, penguins, red panda, zebras, gorillas, Indian rhinoceros, and thousands more.
