It’s been said that necessity is the mother of invention. In the case of Taim, it was a case of missing the taste of home that was the mother of this wonderful NY Dining spot.
Missing the street food of their native Tel Aviv, husband and wife Einat Admony and Stefan Nafziger decided to open a Restaurant to bring their favorite foods to New York. And that is how Taim was born.
Since 2005, Taim has delighted both locals and visitors with their selection of falafel and smoothies. Even though the menu is 100% vegetarian, with plenty of vegan options in the mix, this NYC Restaurant is even popular with carnivores who find the rich flavors more than make up for the lack of meat.
Some of the popular dishes at Taim are the green falafels, falafel sandwiches, tabouli salad, and a Mediterranean platter that features 3 of Taim’s most popular salads. The food is served fast, so this spot is a perfect option for those who want “fast food” but want to eat healthy foods. Add some sides to your meal to make it more complete. Options include fried eggplant and tahini, and French fries with saffron aioli.
In addition to the delicious food, Taim is also known for their smoothies, and many people make a special trip just to order one of the smoothies. These are always made with the freshest ingredients including coconut milk, dates, bananas, pears, and a variety of other fruits.
Guests at our New York Accommodations will find that this NYC Restaurant, which is located in the West Village, is easy to reach and well worth a visit during their stay.
